Day 1:Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park:

Depart from Dar es Salaam at 0700am. Drive directly to Mikumi by 4×4 safari Jeep. You will arrive l in the park after 4 hours depending on the traffic on the highway, lunch at Morogoro Town then drive into Mikumi National Park. You will go on afternoon game drives until late in the evening. You will be able to see many animals like elephant, giraffe, lions, antelopes, and many more. Mikumi National Park provides excellent opportunity to view diverse number of animals and birds in a short period of time without too much of driving around. Thereafter drive just a few kilometers from the park gate near the park boundary. Dinner and overnight will be at the Vuma Hills Tented Camp, Stanly’s Kopje Tented Camp

Day 2: Mikumi National Park-Full Day Game Drive:

After breakfast have a full day game drive in the park and see the beauty of Mikumi National Park. The wildlife viewing experience in this park can be experienced right upon entering the park where you can encounter baboons, zebras, and impalas just to mention a few. You will have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffes that naturalists say seem to be a cross breed between reticulated and Maasai Giraffes. Lions can be easily sported in this park. You will have a game drive around the park trail leading you to the hippo pool, which is the best visited during the late afternoons as the distant setting sun and the bobbing hippos heads create perfect pictures. After spotting the wallowing buffaloes at the Mkata flood plains and the elephants congregating near the water hole, drive back to your camp for dinner and overnight at the Vuma Hills Tented Camp, Stanly’s Kopje Tented Camp

Day 3: Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam:

After an early breakfast, have a sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park, then with picnic lunches drive en-route to Dar es salaam. Later you will drive back to Dar es Salaam and arrive  at 1700hours drop at your own booked hotel in Dar es salaam or at the airport for your own booked  flight back home or for your flight extension to Zanzibar if you opt to fro your beach holidays.
