Ruaha’s limitless wilderness awaits you on this grand safari. More than 10,000 elephant, vast concentrations of buffalo, gazelle and over 400 species of bird await you. The Great Ruaha River is the main feature of the park. From its banks, the game viewing is truly spectacular! Hippo yawn under the midday sun as the crocodile lie lazily along the banks. From the skies, watch eagles swoop and dive for a meal and at night rest among the sounds of frogs croaking happily in the reeds.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Selous Game Reserve / Nyerere National Park:

Depart from Dar es Salaam at 0730am by 4by4 Jeep drive directly to Selous Game Reserve you will be passing through country side and have nice scenery and beautiful valleys and mountains. The trip will take you about 2 and half hours. Arrival for hot lunch relax at leisure till afternoon around 0400pm proceed with Boat game drive in the Great Rufiji River till sunset, you have a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery with a lot of wild animal and many species of birds about 2 hours till sunset then back to the hotel arrival for dinner and overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge.

Day 2: Selous Game Reserve / Nyerere National Park-Full Day Game Drive:                                                                                  After breakfast with your picnic lunch box depart for a full day game drive into the Selous Game Reserve: large numbers of elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Wild Dogs, Hippos, crocodiles and many more live in this immense sanctuary, which measures 50,000 sq. km, practically undisturbed by human impact. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands. Game drive till evening then back to the lodge relax thereafter dinner and overnight at Selous Kinga Lodge.

Day 3: Selous Game Reserve / Nyerere N Park-Mikumi National Park:

Depart after breakfast with picnic lunch box for Mikumi National Park. The drive will make you pass through Matambwe gate, will take at least 5hrs to make it to Mikumi, you will pass through farms along Uluguru Mountains and villages till Morogoro town then drive directly to park for afternoon game drive. You will have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffe that naturalists say seem to be a cross breed between reticulated and Maasai Giraffes. Lion, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard can be easily spotted in this park. Your game drive will also take you around to the hippo pool to view the hippos. You will be able to see elephants coming to drink water at the water hole. Enjoy game drive till sunset then drive to the hotel. Arrival for dinner and overnight at Stanly’s Kopje Tented Camp or Vuma Hills Tented Camp.

Day 4: Mikumi National Park-Ruaha National Park:

After an early breakfast you will take part in a sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park then with picnic lunch depart for Ruaha National Park drive from Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park passes through farms and villages with very good landscapes and the Great Rift Valley. Arrival in Ruaha National Park will be in late afternoon. Game drive en-route to your lodge having a chance to see Elephants, Giraffes, Kudu, lions, leopard, Jackal, Hyenas, African wild Dog and many more. Arrival for diner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 5: Ruaha National Park-Full Day Game Drive:

After breakfast, with your lunch box you will have a full day game drive in Ruaha National Park. Almost as large as the Serengeti, with its untouched nature remains one of the most exciting game reserves. It is a birdwatchers’ paradise with 350 different species of birds. Wildlife is concentrated along the Great Ruaha River that is the heart of the wildlife in the park. Waterbuck, Impala and Grant Gazelle. The Shores of Great Ruaha River is the permanent hunting ground lion, leopard, Jackal, Hyenas and African wild Dog. Enjoy the fascinating beauty of the Ruaha national there after drive back to your lodge, dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

After an early morning breakfast, enjoy your final sunrise game drive in the Ruaha National Park en-route to Iringa Airport. You will see the hippo pool, nice view from the bridge. You will enjoy your last moments safari having change to see crocodiles, Elephants, Zebras, Buffaloes and many more, you will arrive Iringa in time for your flight at 1030am back to Dar es Salaam arrival at 0130pm.
